Who We Are

Todd has an uncanny knack for looking at something and instantly knowing how it works. His expertise is both broad and deep and includes system and process analysis, data structuring, web design and programming, project and personnel management, brand/identity development, collateral design, live event production, application training, strategic consulting and copywriting. Todd's ability to see the big picture as well as the detail helps us provide relevant, appropriate and cost effective solutions to real world problems.

With close to 20 years of industry experience, he has successfully guided hundreds of demanding and diverse marketing, communications, web, technical and multimedia projects from inception to completion in the telecommunications, energy, investment banking, legal, consulting, advertising, pharmaceutical, publishing, media and non-profit sectors. Notable companies include Lucent, Texaco, Time Warner, American Express, Proskauer Rose, Lehman Brothers, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Prodigy, Ziff-Davis, and the Carnegie Counsel.

Prior to forming Animus Rex Todd was the Executive Producer at silicon-ally firm, Advanced Media Concepts. Notable projects included an award-winning hologram for Global Crossing's Telecom '99 exhibit in Geneva, a tool for screening schizophrenia in the hearing impaired for the National Development Research Institute, and PSE&G's first database-driven website.

Before that he spent 5 years at Morgan Stanley first as a graphic artist then quickly rising through the ranks as a project manager then art director in their full-service art department. He then created and led a department that produced the firm's conferences, media events, IPO roadshows, and senior management speaking engagements. Scope included everything from designing and writing presentations, to creating sophisticated video and animations, to handling all logistics, staging and direction of over 850 events a year on four continents.

Todd started as a freelance graphic artist for Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Prudential Securities and did corporate computer application training on the side. He is an accomplished and active musician having played professionally and semi-professionally for over 30 years, is an avid sailor and is on track to becoming a certified yoga instructor by year-end 2011.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Todd was instilled with a strong work ethic; sense of fair play, and honest, no BS approach from an early age. He's a stickler for detail, a value to clients, employs a practical approach to problem solving, and settles for nothing less than excellence. His direct and open communication style is refreshing, especially in the obfuscated, jargon-rich world of the Internet. This simple philosophy permeates the culture at Animus Rex.

Bev has over 20 years of experience working in investment banking, corporate law and publishing – all pressure-cooker industries to say the least. Her background includes website development, graphic design, branding/identity, project and personnel management, live event production, technical writing, copy writing/editing and application training. Having "seen it all", Bev is calm, cool and collected in a crunch.

She is in the unique position of having used Animus Rex's Application Server Platform, EsKort for website development and production as Proskauer Rose's Web Administrator. Not only was she responsible all aspects of their myriad of internal and external web properties, she oversaw 50+ content contributors across 7 offices and 30+ practices. This experience helps her relate to our clients in a way that no one else can.

Margaret turns designs into websites and has been doing so since 1998. She has worked for design agencies and software development companies including Nuforia, whose work was featured in the first edition of Graphis DesignAgencies.com published in 2000. She was also part of the team that built the award-winning Altoids site in 1999. More recently she was responsible for developing richardfelciano.com, an archive for the avant-garde composer who established the computer music department at Berkeley; and techonomy.com for the annual TE Conference, whose attendees include tech visionaries Mark Zuckerberg, Sean Parker and Eric Schmidt.

Margaret has worked with artists, small businesses and Fortune 500 companies in the US, England and Japan, including Chase Bank, Dow Jones and Cambridge University. Her core skills include hand-coding HTML5, CSS2/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, WordPress 3.1, and now EsKort eScript.

Roger has been interested in computers ever since he can remember and before that with anything you could take apart. The real love relationship with computers and technology started when he discovered dial-up BBS then the Internet. Sometimes the fascination is about languages themselves (and their progressive evolution to serve human complexity) and sometimes it's about communication (and its ardent changes), but more and more it is just about human interaction and the way we are seeing it take leaps before our eyes.

Over the last 15 years, he has worked for such notable companies as Linksys, Intel and the Melton Foundation doing everything from web and application development to systems integration to server and database administration, Highlights of languages and systems include: PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Perl, Visual Basic, Bash, Linux, FreeBSD and Windows server administration, DNS, Apache and IIS web servers, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL databases, all mail protocols, and UML, XP and Agile development methodologies.

Roger's diverse and extensive knowledge helps Animus Rex solve almost any application, infrastructure or technology related problem that might surface during a project and allows us to provide a rock-solid infrastructure for EsKort, our web development platform.
