No Marketing Department
At the time we built the site, the firm had no formal marketing department. Busy, highly paid attorneys were going to make changes, so updates had to be quick and easy. We automated all navigation and cross-referencing and streamlined the process of adding or updating attorney bios so they take only a few minutes to complete.

Conveying Depth
David Boies is arguably one of the most famous attorneys alive today. The firm attracts and retains some of the best legal talent in the industry, yet it was perceived as a one-man show. We worked hard to demonstrate the breadth and depth of talent at every opportunity. Some of the techniques we used included:
• Cross-referencing practices and news with attorneys
• Highlighting client testimonials and showing all attorneys in each office as the default view for that office.
• Bringing the attorneys to life by showing three action/conversational photos for attorney bios rather than the standard single headshot.

Optimizing the Site

The immediate result was a dramatic increase in indexing and relevancy of the site on Google and Yahoo! With the previous Web site, peripheral searches showed either no or a very low ranking. On the new site, many rank either #1 or on the first page.
